Questions to consider:
-Ever feel overwhelmed by financial stress?
-Find yourself in a paycheck-to-paycheck cycle?
-Are you pushing financial planning to the back burner?
-Are you wishing for a quicker path to your dreams?
-Do you have a clear financial vision for the next 5, 10 or 15 years?
Maybe you see parts of your story in ours...
As newlyweds, we were caught in a cycle of working hard, but never having enough for the big dreams we harbored. Small, impulsive buys were frequent, even if our budget didn’t allow it.
We fell into the trap of justifying “necessary” expenses, swiping our credit cards with a vague hope of paying them off. But as the month-end approached, anxiety and shame crept in.
Instead of confronting these issues, I often turned to shopping for temporary relief, unknowingly deepening our financial woes.
Then we realized...
Our non-intentional purchases were destroying our finances.
Fast forward, several years and a few kids later...
We yearned for more quality family time, but struggled with how to prioritize it financially.
We noticed a pattern: sticking to our budget and making thoughtful purchases left us with more financial freedom.
Ignoring our budget and impulse purchases led to the opposite.
the reality was:
We wanted to work less…
so we could spend more time
with the people we love,
doing the things we enjoy.
We set out to redefine our goals and align our daily choices with these aspirations.
Achieving some goals and working towards others, we’ve learned the immense value of intentional living- a lesson our bank account affirms.
Friend,
Some thoughts for you, friend:
-Could impulsive spending be a roadblock in your financial journey?
-Have you set both short-term and long-term goals? Knowing them is the first step to achieving them.
-In life’s busyness, are your priorities getting lost, consuming your time and resources?
Did these questions resonate with you?
